Live Oak Officers
ELIZABETH RICHARDSON : President
Elizabeth is the president and founder of the Live Oak club for GSSC! She plays tennis and badminton, and is also the secretary of the mental wellness club. Elizabeth always been interested in biology and plans to go into dental after high school. Elizabeth created the Live Oak wanted to bring Girls Stempowerment to Live Oak because of the gap for women in STEM, which grows wider as girls start high school. Elizabeth believes GSSC is a great opportunity to give young girls interested in learning about STEM a safe space, to grow and feel accepted. |
KEERTHI SIRIAM : Secretary
Keethi is interested in all things STEM related, and is Live Oak's secretary! Keerthi is also the president of the Mental Wellness Club, and a lead in Morgan Hill's local youth climate action team (MHYCAT). In Keerthi's free time, she enjoys playing tennis and dance. Keerthi joined GSSC because of her interest in STEM-related subjects and due to recognizing the importance in encouraging more girls to be grow up and pursue a career in STEM. Keerthi hopes to learn about more subjects, and truly just be able to help make a club that really is beneficial to girls that may be interested in STEM and all its opportunities. :) |
IRELAND : Publicity Chair
Another junior at Live Oak is Publicity Chair Ireland! Some of her interests include playing volleyball, and she also enjoys girls lacrosse and is varsity at Live Oak for it. Ireland is also apart of Interact, Surfrider, and National Honor Society. An interesting fact about Ireland is that she has taken seven college classes through Gavilan College. Ireland joined GSSC because she thought it would be interesting to learn more about STEM, and she learned about it through programs such a Girl Scouts-- but was especially glad that Live Oak now has a club more focused towards girls in the STEM field. |

A junior at Live Oak, Precious considers herself a shy and outgoing person. She loves watching movies or reading books, and plays tennis and badminton. Precious wanted to be a part of GSSC because she believes she can learn at least one or two new things and she can create a positive impact on the lives of young girls in STEM. |
